About

Hello! I am Cooper! I write essays about connection and togetherness and art and how people look for things they’ve lost.

I hold a B.A. in environmental studies and anthropology from Bowdoin College, and I recently received an M.F.A. in creative nonfiction writing from Oregon State University, where I was awarded a Provost Distinguished Graduate Fellowship. My writing and research has been supported by the Spring Creek Project and OSU’s Center for the Humanities.

I am currently at work on a book-length essay about Nam June Paik.
